Happy Columbus Day

Also known as Happy Great PR Day.

I really don't understand why we still celebrate Columbus Day. We have found plenty of evidence that people from other parts of the world had traveled to the Americas many, many, many years before Columbus. Not to mention the fact that when we say Columbus "discovered" America we imply that the native people living here are less than human. It is just one of those things that pisses me off.
At least some people get the day off so...Happy Columbus Day.
